AGE RESTRICTION POLICY

Cutting Drops is for adults. We check for it, every time.

This page explains our minimum purchase age for Cutting Drops, how we confirm it at checkout, why we set this rule, and what happens if we discover an order was placed by, or on behalf of, someone under that age — across Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and New Zealand.

18+
THE RULE, IN ONE LINE

You must be 18 or older to purchase Cutting Drops from The Minerals Lab.

This applies to every order placed on themineralslab.com, regardless of your country of residence, shipping destination, or the payment method used. By placing an order, you are confirming that you meet this age requirement.

What you're confirming when you check out

By completing a purchase of Cutting Drops, you confirm, to the best of your knowledge, that: (1) you are at least 18 years of age; (2) you are purchasing for yourself or another adult in your household, with their knowledge; and (3) you are not purchasing on behalf of, for the use of, or for onward supply to, any individual under the age of 18. Providing false information about your age to place an order is a breach of our Terms of Service.

WHY WE SET THIS AGE LIMIT

Cutting Drops wasn't formulated, dosed, or tested with children or teenagers in mind.

Cutting Drops is a liposomal botanical formula containing concentrated plant extracts — ginger, fennel, peppermint, dandelion, burdock root and elderberry — at a dose intended for adult daily use. As with any ingestible botanical product, we restrict sale to adults for the following reasons:

01

Dosage is adult-formulated

The 1,200mg botanical blend per serving is designed and dosed for an adult body. It has not been evaluated for use in children or adolescents, whose safe dosing, absorption, and interaction profile can differ significantly from adults.

02

Adult contractual capacity

Consumer and contract law in each of our markets generally requires a purchaser to be an adult to enter a binding sale contract, including agreeing to our Terms of Service, Refund Policy, and payment authorisation.

03

Responsible retailing

Restricting ingestible wellness products to adult purchasers is consistent with responsible e-commerce practice and with Google Shopping's requirement that age-appropriate products only be sold to, and marketed toward, the intended adult audience.

HOW WE VERIFY YOUR AGE

A clear checkout declaration, backed by the right to ask for more.

Because Cutting Drops is a wellness product rather than an age-restricted regulated substance (such as alcohol, tobacco, or vaping products), our primary verification method is a clear affirmative declaration at checkout: you confirm you are 18 or older, and that you are not buying on behalf of a minor, before your order can be placed.

We reserve the right to request further verification (such as government-issued photo identification confirming your date of birth) if we have reasonable grounds to believe an order may have been placed by, or on behalf of, someone under 18 — for example, following a customer support enquiry, a payment dispute, or a delivery query that raises this concern. If we cannot verify age to our satisfaction, we may cancel the order and issue a full refund.

STEP 1 — DECLARATION
You confirm you are 18+ before checkout can be completed
STEP 2 — PAYMENT
Checkout runs through Shopify's PCI-DSS-compliant payment infrastructure, which typically requires an adult-held payment method
STEP 3 — IF WE HAVE CONCERNS
We may request ID or cancel and refund the order
WE DO NOT SELL TO OR FOR MINORS

We will not knowingly fulfil an order intended for someone under 18 — including through an adult intermediary.

Even where the person completing checkout and payment is an adult, we do not knowingly sell Cutting Drops where the stated or evident purpose of the order is for use by, or supply to, a person under the age of 18. This includes purchases made by a parent, guardian, older sibling, or any other adult intending to give the product to a minor. If this comes to our attention — whether before or after dispatch — we may cancel the order, decline to fulfil it, or request its return, and we will issue a refund for any cancelled portion.

Not sold to under-18s directly Not sold for supply to a minor Not marketed toward minors Not packaged or flavoured to appeal specifically to children
AGE OF MAJORITY & CONTRACT LAW, BY COUNTRY

Why 18 is the line in every market we serve — and what the law says if it's crossed.

Open the section for where you're shopping from to see how age-of-majority and contract law applies to your order.

AUAustralia

The age of majority in every Australian state and territory is 18. A contract entered into by a minor (someone under 18) can, in many circumstances, be voidable at the minor's option under common law and state minors' contracts legislation (for example the Minors (Property and Contracts) Act 1970 in New South Wales, or equivalent provisions elsewhere).

  • Our position: we require purchasers to confirm they are 18+ at checkout for this reason, in addition to the product-suitability reasons explained above.
  • Australian Consumer Law: nothing in this policy overrides a consumer's statutory guarantees; it simply restricts who may place the order in the first place.
  • Privacy Act 1988 (Cth): we do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18 through our checkout process for the purpose of completing a sale.
USUnited States

The age of majority is 18 in most US states (19 in a small number, including Alabama and Nebraska, and 21 in Mississippi). Under general US contract law, minors generally lack full capacity to enter binding contracts, and many state statutes allow a minor to disaffirm (void) a contract.

  • Our position: we set our minimum purchase age at 18 nationwide as a uniform, precautionary standard, recognising that a small number of states set the general age of majority higher.
  • COPPA: the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act restricts the online collection of personal information from children under 13; our checkout is not directed at, and does not knowingly collect data from, children.
  • State consumer protection law: our age declaration operates alongside, not instead of, state-level consumer protections such as California's Consumer Legal Remedies Act.
UKUnited Kingdom

The age of majority in England, Wales and Scotland is 18 (in Scotland, a young person of 16 or 17 has some contractual capacity, but general adult purchasing rights and full contractual capacity are still tied to 18 for most commercial purposes).

  • Our position: we require all purchasers to confirm they are 18+ before completing checkout, consistent with responsible retailing of an ingestible wellness product.
  • Consumer Rights Act 2015 & Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013: continue to apply in full to any order lawfully placed by an adult purchaser.
  • UK GDPR & Data Protection Act 2018 (Children's Code): our site and checkout are not designed for, marketed to, or intended to be used by children, in line with the Information Commissioner's Office's Age Appropriate Design Code expectations for non-child-directed services.
CACanada

The age of majority varies by province: 18 in Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Quebec, and Saskatchewan; 19 in British Columbia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Northwest Territories, Nova Scotia, Nunavut, and Yukon.

  • Our position: we apply a uniform national minimum purchase age of 18 for Cutting Drops, while noting that provincial minors' contract legislation in higher-age-of-majority provinces may give a purchaser aged 18 additional protections until they reach that province's full age of majority.
  • PIPEDA: our checkout does not knowingly collect personal information from children for the purpose of completing a sale.
  • Provincial consumer protection acts: continue to apply in full to any order lawfully placed by an adult purchaser.
NZNew Zealand

The general age of majority in New Zealand is 18, and the Contract and Commercial Law Act 2017 governs the contractual capacity of minors, including circumstances in which a contract entered into by someone under 18 may be cancelled.

  • Our position: we require purchasers to confirm they are 18+ before an order can be completed, consistent with this statutory framework.
  • Fair Trading Act 1986 & Consumer Guarantees Act 1993: continue to apply in full to any order lawfully placed by an adult purchaser.
  • Privacy Act 2020: our checkout does not knowingly collect personal information from children for the purpose of completing a sale.
WHAT HAPPENS IF THIS POLICY IS BREACHED

We take proportionate action, every time, without exception.

If we discover an order breaches this policy

If we reasonably believe, before dispatch, that an order was placed by or for a person under 18, we will cancel that order and issue a full refund to the original payment method, and we may request confirmation of age before releasing any future order to the same account.

If we become aware of a breach after dispatch, we will contact the account holder, may request the product's return at our cost, and will treat any repeat attempt to place an order in breach of this policy as a breach of our Terms of Service, which may result in the account being restricted from future purchases.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe a minor in your household has placed an order with us, please contact our support team immediately at help.themineralslab@gmail.com so we can cancel the order and refund it, generally without requiring you to first initiate a formal dispute.

Questions about our age policy?

Reach out and a real person on our small team will get back to you within 1 business day — whether you're confirming eligibility to order, reporting a concern, or requesting a cancellation on behalf of a minor.
